TOK essay is an assessment task required for an IB diploma. Each year the International Baccalaureate Organization prepares 6 prescribed titles.  I chose topic number 5, which was ““Areas of knowledge are most useful in combination with each other.” Discuss this claim with reference to two areas of knowledge”, and decided to investigate two combinations of Areas of Knowledge: mathematics and natural sciences, history and ethics. I chose these two combinations because they allowed me to show more broad perspective and because almost immediately I came up with ideas what examples I can give to support my claims. The process of writing the essay allowed me to learn more about how to check if what I know is reliable and to ask questions about what I know. Thanks to the process of writing the essay I’ve noticed that Theory of Knowledge really helped me to improve as a knower.
